The Parliament of Queensland enacts—

PART 1—PRELIMINARY

Short title

Clause1. This Act may be cited as the Local Government Legislation Amendment Act 1994.

Commencement

Clause2. Part 2 is taken to have commenced on | February 1994.

PART 2—AMENDMENT OF CITY OF BRISBANE ACT 1924

Act amended Clause3. This Part amends the City of Brisbane Act 1924.

Amendment of s 17 (Provisions concerning elections) Clause4.(1) Section 17(5) and (6)— omit, insert—

(5) The Electoral Act applies to the conduct of elections with any necessary changes and any changes prescribed by regulation.
