The Parliament of Queensland enacts—
Short title
1. This Act may be cited as the Financial Administration and Audit Amendment Act (No. 2) 1996.
Act amended 2. This Act amends the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977.
Insertion of new pt 9 3. After section 114—
insert—
'PART 9—EXTENSION OF AUDITOR-GENERAL'S TERM OF OFFICE
'Extension of term
*115.(1) The appointment instrument appointing Barrie Milton Rollason as auditor-general for a term of 4 years on and from 17 December 1992 is
taken instead to have appointed him as auditor-general for a term of 5 years on and from 17 December 1992.
'(2) To remove doubt, it is declared that the extension of the auditor-general's term under this section is not an appointment under section 50 or a reappointment within the meaning of section 51(2).
'(3) In this section—
"appointment instrument" means Executive Council Minute No. 2759, of 17 December 1992. 11 1416 1822
