The Parliament of Queensland enacts—
Short title
1. This Act may be cited as the Legislative Assembly Amendment Act 1996.
Act amended 2. This Act amends the Legislative Assembly Act 1867.
Amendment of s 13 (Quorum division and casting vote) 3.(1) Section 13 (heading)— omit, insert—
'Quorum and deciding questions'
(2) Section 13, 'of such members as shall be present other than the speaker and when the votes shall be equal the speaker shall have the casting vote'—
omit, insert—
'of all members present'. 1215
