The Parliament of Queensland enacts—

PART 1—PRELIMINARY

Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Murray-Darling Basin Act 1996.

Definitions 2. In this Act—

"agreement" means the agreement (including schedule D) a copy of the text of which is in the schedule to this Act.

"commission" means the Murray—Darling Basin Commission. "commissioner", other than in section 6(1), means— (a) the president or a commissioner of the commission; or
