The Parliament of Queensland enacts—
Short title
1. This Act may be cited as the Statutory Instruments Amendment Act 1998.
Commencement
2. Section 5 commences on | January 1999.
Act amended
3. This Act amends the Statutory Instruments Act 1992.
Amendment of s 9 (Meaning of "subordinate legislation") 4. Section 9(2)(c), after 'that is-— insert—
'mentioned in schedule 1A or'.
Amendment of s 54 (When subordinate legislation expires) 5. Section 54(1), after 'expires on'— insert—
'1 September first occurring after'.
Replacement of s 56 (Exemptions from expiry) 6. Section 56— omit, insert—
'Exemptions from expiry
