An Act to amend the Parliamentary Service Act 1988

The Parliament of Queensland enacts—
Clause 1 Short title
This Act may be cited as the Parliamentary Service Amendment Act 2002.
Clause 2 Act amended
This Act amends the Parliamentary Service Act 1988.
Clause 3 Amendment of s 4 (Definitions) (1) Section 4, definition "employee'', after 'not include'— omit, insert— 'an officer of the parliamentary service.'. (2) Section 4, definition "misconduct", paragraph (a), after 'service;'— insert— 'or'. (3) Section 4, definition "parliamentary precinct'', 'means'— omit, insert— 'means— (a) '.
(4) Section 4, definition "parliamentary precinct', 'administered, but? —
omit, insert— 'administered; or
(b) any land or premises declared by the Governor in Council by gazette notice to be part of the parliamentary precinct for a stated period;
but'.

5 Amendment of s 30 (Superannuation) (1) Section 30(2)(b), 'pursuant to section 46(1)'— omit, insert— 'under the transitional provision'. (2) Section 30(3)— insert—
' "transitional provision'? means section 46 of this Act as in force immediately before thi s Act was amended by th Parliamentary Committees Act 1995, section 35.'.
