Vagrants, Gaming and Other Offences (Flag Protection) Amendment Bill 2003
The Parliament of Queensland enacts—
1__ Short title
This Act may be cited as the Vagrants, Gaming and Other Offences (Flag Protection) Amendment Act 2003.
2 Commencement
This Act commences on a day to be fixed by proclamation.
3 Act amended This Act amends the Vagrants, Gaming and Other Offences Act 1931.
4 Insertion of new s 35A After section 35— insert— '35A Damaging or destroying State or Commonwealth flag
'A person must not intentionally burn, slash or otherwise damage or destroy a flag of a State or the Commonwealth in the view of another person.
Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.'.
