The Parliament of Queensland enacts—
1__ Short title
This Act may be cited as the Retirement Villages (Proxy Voting) Amendment Act 2004.
2 Act amended This Act amends the Retirement Villages Act 1999.
3 Amendment of s 133 (Voting)
(1) Section 133(1), 'a scheme operator or another resident of the village' —
omit, insert— 'another person'. (2) Section 133— insert—
'(7) A person given power to vote for a resident at a residents meeting under subsection (1) may attend the meeting—
(a) to speak in relation to the resolutions to be voted on at the meeting; and
(b) to vote on any resolution for which the resident has not cast a postal vote.'.
