The Parliament of Queensland enacts—

1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the Major Sports Facilities Amendment Act 2011.

2 Commencement

This Act commences, or is taken to have commenced, on 8 September 2011.

3 Act amended This Act amends the Major Sports Facilities Act 2001.

4 Insertion of new pt 3B After section 30AH—

insert—

'Part 3B Major sport events at Suncorp Stadium

'Division 1 Major sport events during 2011

'30AI Definitions for div 1 In this division—

major sport event means a national or international sport event that has a crowd size of more than 35000.

relevant development approval means the development approval relating to the major sports facility called 'Suncorp Stadium' issued under the Integrated Planning Act 1997 on 6 July 2001 and continued as a development approval under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009.
