The Parliament of Queensland enacts—

Part 1 Preliminary

1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Holidays and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2012.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on the later of the following— (a) _ the day this Act is assented to; (b) 2 October 2012.

Part 2 Amendment of Holidays Act 3 Act amended This part amends the Holidays Act 1983.

4 Amendment of s 3A (References to public holidays in industrial instruments under /ndustrial Relations Act 1999)

Section 3A(b), 'to a public holiday for the Birthday of the Sovereign' —

omit, insert—

'to Labour Day, or to a public holiday for the Birthday of the Sovereign or Labour Day, '.
