The Parliament of Queensland enacts—
Short title
This Act may be cited as the Mineral Resources (Mary River Dam Site) Amendment Act 2012.
Act amended
This Act amends the Mineral Resources Act 1989.
Insertion of new s 391C
After section 391B—
insert—

This section applies to the following areas of land— (a) area 118;
(b) area 119.
On the commencement of this section—
(a) the notification made by the Minister under section 391, and published in the gazette on 27 July 2012, prohibiting the application for mining tenements for the land is taken to be of no effect; and
(b) the land is not a restricted area under this Act.
This section applies to the land despite the notification mentioned in subsection (2)(a).
In this section—
area 118 means the area described as restricted area 118 in the gazette notice dated 27 July 2012 at page 887.
area 119 means the area described as restricted area 119 in the gazette notice dated 27 July 2012 at page 887.'.
