The Parliament of Queensland enacts—

Short title
This Act may be cited as the Parliament of Queensland (Registered Political Parties) Amendment Act 2012.
Commencement This Act commences, or is taken to have commenced, on 29
November

This Act amends the Parliament of Queensland Act 2001.
Amendment of s 112 (Additional salary entitlement of some members)
Section 112(3)(b)—
omit, insert—
'(b) aregistered political party if—
(i)
(ii)
at least 3 Assembly members are party members and were party members at the most recent election at which the party member was elected as an Assembly member; and
for the most recent general election, the total number of first preference votes for all candidates who were party members was at least 10% of the total number of first preference votes for all candidates.'.
