An Act to amend the Criminal Code to reform the law relating to abortion and to make a consequential amendment to the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 The Parliament of Queensland enacts—
Part 1 Preliminary
1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Abortion Law Reform (Woman's Right to Choose) Amendment Act 2016 .
Part 2 Amendment of Criminal Code
2 Code amended This part amends the Criminal Code.
3 Omission of s 224 (Attempts to procure abortion) Section 224— omit.
4 Omission of s 225 (The like by women with child) Section 225— omit.
5 Omission of s 226 (Supplying drugs or instruments to procure abortion) Section 226— omit.
Part 3 Amendment of Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995
6 Act amended This part amends the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 .
7 Amendment of sch 2 (Disqualifying offences under the Criminal Code—crossing supervisors) Schedule 2, entry for section 226, before 'section'— insert— repealed
