Part 1—Interpretation 1—Short title These regulations may be cited as the Supported Residential Facilities Regulations 2024. 2—Commencement These regulations come into operation on the day on which they are made. 3—Interpretation In these regulations— Act means the Supported Residential Facilities Act 1992; Building Code of Australia means the Building Code of Australia published by the Australian Building Codes Board, as in force from time to time, and as modified from time to time by the variations, additions or exclusions for South Australia contained in the code; health service provider has the same meaning as in section 47 of the Act; manager of a supported residential facility means— (a) if section 34 of the Act applies in relation to the facility—a person approved under that section; or (b) in any other case—a proprietor of the facility; night shift means the period of time beginning at 10pm and ending at 7am on the next day; nursing home means a supported residential facility where nursing care is provided or offered on a continuing basis; premises, in relation to a supported residential facility, includes the buildings, grounds, fixtures and fittings of the facility.
