1—Short title These regulations may be cited as the Water Resources (Tintinara Coonalypn Prescribed Wells Area) Regulations 2000. 2—Commencement These regulations come into operation on the day on which they are made. 3—Interpretation In these regulations— the Act means the Water Resources Act 1997; Tauragat Management Area means that part of the Tintinara Coonalpyn Prescribed Wells Area outlined in bold and shown on Plan 1 in the Schedule1; the Tintinara Coonalpyn Prescribed Wells Area means the area comprising the Hundreds of Archibald, Carcuma, Coneybeer, Coombe, Lewis, Livingston, McCallum, Makin and Richards. Note— 1 Plan 2 in the Schedule is inserted for information purposes only and shows each of the confined aquifer management areas (including the Tauragat Management Area) in the Tintinara Coonalpyn Prescribed Wells Area. 4—Declaration of wells Existing wells in the Tintinara Coonalpyn Prescribed Wells Area and wells drilled in that Area in the future are declared to be prescribed wells. 5—The establishment and prescribed periods (1) The establishment period in relation to the Tintinara Coonalpyn Prescribed Wells Area commenced on 30 June 1995 and ended at the commencement of the prescribed period (11 May 2000). (2) The prescribed period in relation to the Tintinara Coonalpyn Prescribed Wells Area commenced on 11 May 2000 and will end on 31 October 2002. 6—Reduction of water allocation in Tauragat Management Area Pursuant to section 36(3)(b) of the Act, the Minister may reduce by not more than 20 per cent the water allocation to which each existing user taking water from the upper and middle confined aquifers in the Tauragat Management Area is entitled under section 36(1) of the Act.
