The Parliament of South Australia enacts as follows: Part 1—Preliminary 1—Short title This Act may be cited as the Gambling Administration (Limitation on Advertising) Amendment Act 2024. 2—Commencement This Act comes into operation on a day to be fixed by proclamation.
Part 2—Amendment of Gambling Administration Act 2019 3—Insertion of Part 2A After Part 2 insert: Part 2A—Gambling advertising 18A—Prohibition on gambling advertising at certain times (1) A gambling provider must not permit or cause to permit gambling advertising on radio or television (including subscription television and streaming services) between 5.00am and 8.30am and 4.00pm to 8.30pm on any day. Maximum penalty: $20 000. Expiation fee: $1 200. (2) In this section— gambling advertising means advertising by a gambling provider of a particular gambling product, products or gambling activity which is in exchange for payment, or some other form of valuable consideration.
