The Parliament of South Australia enacts as follows: Part 1—Preliminary 1—Short title This Act may be cited as the Mining (Environmental Impact of Private Mines) Amendment Act 2022.
Part 2—Amendment of Mining Act 1971 2—Amendment of section 6—Interpretation Section 6(6)—delete "Parts 9B or 11B" and substitute: Part 9B 3—Amendment of section 73C—Interpretation Section 73C(1), definition of environment—delete the definition 4—Amendment of section 73D—Application of Part Section 73D(3)(a)—delete "(6) and" 5—Amendment of section 73G—Mine operations plans Section 73G(2)—after paragraph (a) insert: and (ab) address the impact of mining operations carried out at the private mine on the health and safety of persons in the vicinity of the private mine; and
