Proclamation under the Water Act 1957
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Rivers and Water Supply Commission, by this my proclamation made under section 26(1) of the Water Act 1957 –
(a) appoint the districts defined in Schedules 1 , 2 and 3 to this proclamation to be irrigation water districts; and (b) name the district defined in Schedule 1 to this proclamation the Cressy/Longford Irrigation Water District; and (c) name the district defined in Schedule 2 to this proclamation the Coal River Irrigation Water District; and (d) name the district defined in Schedule 3 to this proclamation the South-East Irrigation Water District Stage 2; and (e) revoke the proclamations notified in the Gazette as S. R. 1978, No. 30, S. R. 1984, No. 257 and S. R. 1989, No. 32; and (f) declare that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette. 29 November 1999

SCHEDULE 1 - Cressy/Longford Irrigation Water District
All that area of land shown bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 4987 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 4 to this proclamation.
SCHEDULE 2 - Coal River Irrigation Water District
All that area of land shown as Stage 1 bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 4988 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 5 to this proclamation.
SCHEDULE 3 - South-East Irrigation Water District Stage 2
All that area of land shown as Stage 2 bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 4988 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 5 to this proclamation.
