Proclamation under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, on the recommendation of the Minister and with the approval of each House of Parliament, by this my proclamation made under sections 14(1) and 16(1) of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970 –
(a) declare the Crown land specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of national park and give the name Southwest National Park to that land; and (b) declare the Crown land specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of national park and give the name South Bruny National Park to that land; and (c) declare the Crown land specified in Part 3 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of nature reserve and give the name Three Hummock Island Nature Reserve to that land; and (d) revoke the proclamation notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 1990, No. 230; and (e) declare that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette. 4 December 2000

SCHEDULE 1 - Areas of land
PART 1 - Extension of Southwest National Park
All that area of land comprising about 180 hectares shown bounded by a heavy black line on Plan Number 5429 in the Central Plan Register a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 2 - Extension of South Bruny National Park
All that area of land comprising about 90.3 hectares shown bounded by a heavy black line on Plan Number 5057 in the Central Plan Register a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 2 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
