Proclamation under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and with the approval of Each House of Parliament, by this my proclamation made under sections 14(1) and 16(1) of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970 –
(a) declare that the area of land given the name Central Plateau Conservation Area and specified in section 17 of, and Part 1 of Schedule 9 to, the Regional Forest Agreement (Land Classification) Act 1998 ceases to be reserved land; and (b) revoke the proclamation notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 1990, No. 79; and (c) amend the proclamation notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 2000, No. 241 by omitting from Schedule 1 to that proclamation the item relating to the Central Plateau Conservation Area comprising an approximate area of 2 730 hectares and shown on Plan Number 5006 in the Central Plan Register; and (d) declare the Crown land specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Central Plateau Conservation Area to that reserved land; and (e) declare the Crown land specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Five Mile Pinnacles Conservation Area to that reserved land; and (f) declare the Crown land specified in Part 3 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Great Lake Conservation Area to that reserved land; and (g) declare the Crown land specified in Part 4 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Jones Rivulet Conservation Area to that reserved land; and (h) declare the Crown land specified in Part 5 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Liawenee Conservation Area to that reserved land; and (i) declare the Crown land specified in Part 6 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Morass Bay Conservation Area to that reserved land; and (j) declare the Crown land specified in Part 7 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Rainbow Point Conservation Area to that reserved land; and (k) declare the Crown land specified in Part 8 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Rocky Point Conservation Area to that reserved land; and (l) declare the Crown land specified in Part 9 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Tea-Tree Bay Conservation Area to that reserved land; and (m) declare the Crown land specified in Part 10 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Top Marshes Conservation Area to that reserved land; and (n) declare that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette. 17 December 2001
