Proclamation under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and with the approval of each House of Parliament, by this my proclamation made under sections 14(1) and 16(1) of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1970 declare –
(a) that the areas of Crown land declared to be known as Judgment Rocks Nature Reserve, as shown and specified in the proclamation notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 1978, No. 73, cease to be reserved land; and (b) that the area of land specified in, and given the name Deal Island Conservation Area in, the proclamation notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 2000, No. 117 ceases to be reserved land; and (c) the area of Crown land specified in Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of national park and give the name Kent Group National Park to that reserved land; and (d) that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette. 17 December 2001

SCHEDULE 1 - Kent Group National Park
All those areas of land comprising about 2 374 hectares shown bounded by heavy black lines on Plan Number 5812 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
