State Service (Restructuring) Order (No. 2) 2002
I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister, make the following order under section 11 of the State Service Act 2000 .

1. Short title This order may be cited as the State Service (Restructuring) Order (No. 2) 2002 .
2. Commencement This order takes effect on 9 August 2002.
3. Establishment of Government department A Government department to be called the Department of Tourism, Parks, Heritage and the Arts is established.
4. Amalgamation of Government departments, &c. (1) The following parts of Government departments are amalgamated with the Department of Tourism, Parks, Heritage and the Arts: (a) the Parks and Wildlife Service Division (excluding Crown Land Services), part of the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment; (b) the Tasmanian Heritage Office, part of the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment; (c) the Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, part of the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment; (d) Tourism Tasmania, part of the Department of State Development; (e) Arts Tasmania, part of the Department of State Development; (f) Events Tasmania, part of the Department of State Development; (g) the Tasmanian Bicentenary Office, part of the Department of State Development; (h) the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, part of the Department of State Development. (2) The Seniors Bureau, part of the Department of Health and Human Services, is amalgamated with the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
