Crown Lands (Extinguishment of Public Rights) Act 2003
An Act to extinguish public rights over certain land at East Devonport [Royal Assent 13 October 2003]
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Crown Lands (Extinguishment of Public Rights) Act 2003 .
2. Commencement This Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.
3. Extinguishment of public rights All public rights of way over all that land comprising 3 244 square metres, shown as Lot 1 on Survey Plan P 140000 filed and registered in the Office of the Recorder of Titles in Hobart, and being part of the Esplanade at East Devonport, are extinguished.
4. Administration of Act Until provision is made in relation to this Act by order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990 – (a) the administration of this Act is assigned to the Minister for Primary Industries, Water and Environment; and (b) the department responsible to that Minister in relation to the administration of this Act is the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment.
