Proclamation under the Nature Conservation Act 2002
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 11(2) and 19(1) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 –
(a) declare so much of the Crown land specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation as is not already a conservation area to be reserved land in the class of conservation area; and (b) declare the areas of Crown land specified in Parts 2 , 3 , 4 and 5 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area; and (c) give the name Southport Lagoon Conservation Area to the land specified in Parts 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 and 5 of Schedule 1 to this proclamation; and (d) declare that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette. 3 September 2007

SCHEDULE 1 - Conservation Areas
PART 1 - Southport Lagoon Conservation Area
All that area of land comprising approximately 3580 hectares, shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 5399 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 1 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 2 - Southport Lagoon Conservation Area
All that area of land comprising approximately 13.95 hectares, shown as Lots 1 and 2 and bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 7287 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 2 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
PART 3 - Southport Lagoon Conservation Area
All that area of land comprising approximately 34.025 hectares, shown as Lots 1 and 2 and bounded by heavy black lines on Plan 7288 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Part 3 of Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
