State Service (Restructuring) Order 2008
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister, make the following order under section 11 of the State Service Act 2000 .

1. Short title This order may be cited as the State Service (Restructuring) Order 2008 .
2. Commencement This order takes effect on 12 February 2008.
3. Amalgamation of Government departments, &c. Tourism Tasmania and Events Tasmania, parts of the Department of Tourism, Arts and the Environment, are amalgamated with the Department of Economic Development.
4. Change of name of Department of Tourism, Arts and the Environment The name of the Government department known as the Department of Tourism, Arts and the Environment is changed to the Department of Environment, Parks, Heritage and the Arts.
5. Change of name of Department of Economic Development The name of the Government department known as the Department of Economic Development is changed to the Department of Economic Development and Tourism.
Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.
