Firearms Amendment Act 2007
An Act to amend the Firearms Act 1996 and certain regulations under that Act and to make related amendments to the Police Offences Act 1935 [Royal Assent 13 November 2007]
Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:
PART 1 - Preliminary
1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Firearms Amendment Act 2007 .
2. Commencement (1) Except as provided by this section, this Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. (2) The provisions of Part 3 commence on a day or days to be proclaimed.
PART 2 - Firearms Act 1996 Amended
3. The amendments effected by this Part have been incorporated into the authorised version of the Firearms Act 1996 .
