Short title This order may be cited as the Second-hand Dealers and Pawnbrokers (Exemption) Order 2012 . 2. Commencement This order takes effect on 1 April 2012. 3. Interpretation In this order – Act means the Second-hand Dealers and Pawnbrokers Act 1994 . 4. Licensed motor vehicle traders exempt from Act A licensed motor vehicle trader, within the meaning of the Motor Vehicle Traders Act 2011 , engaged in the trade of dealing in motor vehicles is exempt from the operation of the Act.
