Defamation Order 2017
I make the following order under section 35(3) of the Defamation Act 2005 .

1. Short title This order may be cited as the Defamation Order 2017 .
2. Commencement This order takes effect on 1 July 2017.
3. Maximum damages amount For the purposes of section 35(1) of the Defamation Act 2005 , the maximum damages amount that is to apply from 1 July 2017 is declared to be $389 500.
Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.
