Part 1 — Preliminary
1. Citation These regulations are the Western Australian Marine (Alcohol and Drug Testing) Regulations 2024.
2. Commencement These regulations come into operation on 2 May 2024.
3. Term used: section In these regulations — section means section of the Act.
4. Prescribed sample taker For the purposes of paragraph (c) of the definition of prescribed sample taker in section 75E(1), the following persons are prescribed — (a) pathology collector; (b) phlebotomist.
Part 2 — Testing for alcohol
5. Operation of Dräger Alcotest 9510 breath analysing equipment For the purpose of conducting a breath analysis using the apparatus known as the "Dräger Alcotest 9510", the breath analysing equipment must be operated in accordance with the instructions set out in the Road Traffic (Breath Analysis) Regulations 1975 Schedule 2.
