Part 1 — Preliminary
1. Short title This is the Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing Act 2024.
2. Commencement This Act comes into operation as follows — (a) Part 1 — on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent; (b) Part 7 — (i) if the Criminal Law (Mental Impairment) Act 2023 section 156 comes into operation on or before the day on which Part 1 of this Act comes into operation under paragraph (a) — immediately after Part 1 of this Act comes into operation; or (ii) otherwise — on the day on which the Criminal Law (Mental Impairment) Act 2023 section 156 comes into operation; (c) the rest of the Act — on a day fixed by proclamation, and different days may be fixed for different provisions.
