1. Citation These regulations may be cited as the Casino Control (Burswood Island) (Licensing of Employees) Regulations 1985.
2. Terms used, forms (1) In these regulations, unless the contrary intention appears — Casino means the Burswood Casino; Casino Gaming Licence means the licence of that kind granted in respect of the Casino pursuant to the Act; Commission means the Gaming and Wagering Commission of Western Australia established under section 4 of the Gaming and Wagering Commission Act 1987; current holder, in relation to a licence granted or renewed under these regulations, means the holder of a licence the operation of which is not suspended by the Commission, notwithstanding that it may be, for the time being, held in abeyance pursuant to regulation 14(2)(b) with the approval of the Chief Casino Officer; employ includes engage under a contract for services; form means a form in the Schedule; Operator, in relation to a person employed or permitted to work at the Casino, means such of — (a) Genting W.A.; or (b) the Manager; or (c) any other person for the time being acting as an employee of or agent for the holder of the Casino Gaming Licence in the organisation or conduct of games at the Casino, as was, is, or will be, responsible for the person being so employed or permitted to work. (2) Subject to subregulation (1), in these regulations names and other words and expressions used in the Agreement as set out in the Schedule to the Casino (Burswood Island) Agreement Act 1985 shall have the same respective meanings as in clause 2 of that Agreement. (3) Where a form prescribed by these regulations requires completion by the insertion or attachment of particulars or other matters referred to in the form, those particulars or other matters are prescribed as the particulars or other matters required under the Act for the purpose for which the form is prescribed. (4) A form prescribed by these regulations shall be completed in accordance with the directions specified in the form as so prescribed.
