The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:
1. Short title This is the Curriculum Council (Fees and Charges) Act 2006.
2. Commencement This Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
3. Definition In this Act — Curriculum Council means the Curriculum Council established under the Curriculum Council Act 1997 section 5.
4. Validation of fees and charges Any fee or charge imposed by and paid to the Curriculum Council before the coming into operation of this Act is taken to be, and to always have been, as validly and lawfully imposed and paid as it would have been if it had been imposed and paid under regulations made under the Curriculum Council Act 1997.
