Beechcraft 55, 58 and 95-55 (Baron) Series Aeroplanes

Amdt 1
Fuselage Seat Attachment Brackets 8/85 TX
Applicability: All models 58P and 58PA with S/Nos TJ-3 to TJ-435 and TJ-437 to TJ-443.
Requirement: 1. Fabricate and install in full view of the pilot a temporary placard using letters of minimum 3mm in height which states:
"DO NOT OCCUPY SEATS 5 OR 6 DURING TAKEOFF OR LANDING"
2. Modify in accordance with Beechcraft SB No. 2022.
Note: FAA AD 85-11-04 refers.
Compliance: 1. Within 25 hours' time in service after 1 July 1985.
2. Within 100 hours' time in service after 1 July 1985 or at the next scheduled inspection for Maintenance Release issue after 1 July 1985, whichever is the later.
Background: The initial issue was to improve impact capability of the 5th and 6th seat attachment for passenger protection. Amdt 1 requires placarding to prohibit the use of seats 5 and 6 during take-off and landing until modified.
