AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/TAY/3 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Applicability: Rolls Royce Tay 650-15, 620-15 and 651-54 series engines not incorporating Rolls Royce Service Bulletin (SB) SB76-1466 as indicated in paragraph 1.A. Planning Information of Rolls Royce SB TAY 76-1434, Revision 3, dated 14 September 2001.
Requirement: 1. For installed engines, initially inspect emergency fuel shut-off cable for broken strands in accordance with paragraph 3.A. Accomplishment Instructions of Rolls Royce SB TAY 76-1434, Revision 3, dated 14 September 2001; and
2. For installed engines, re-inspect, or replace cable, following compliance with Requirement 1, as required by paragraph 3.A. Accomplishment Instructions of Rolls Royce SB TAY 76-1434, Revision 3, dated 14 September 2001.
3. For engines undergoing shop visit, inspection/check is to be done in accordance with relevant Engine Manual 72-52-35 as required by paragraph 3.A. Accomplishment Instructions of Rolls Royce SB TAY 76-1434, Revision 3, dated 14 September 2001.
