TX
Applicability: All Model X-TS, X-TS 150, and 150B aircraft.
Requirement: Inspect in accordance with Eagle Aircraft Service Bulletin 1123 original issue, or later revision approved by Malaysia DCA.
If adjoining plates on the undercarriage attach bracket are not welded, before further flight, replace the attach bracket.
Note: Malaysia DCA CAM AD 001-08-2004 refers.
Compliance: Before further flight after 18 August 2004.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 18 August 2004.
Background: A report was received of cracking on a main undercarriage attach bracket; discovered during a routine 100 hourly inspection. Investigation revealed the cracking was initiated by a high stress concentration, which resulted from a missing weld on adjoining plates on the undercarriage attach bracket.
