AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/CESSNA 210/71 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Brackett Engine Air Filters 5/2003
Applicability: Cessna 210 series aircraft incorporating a Brackett Aero Filters Inc. engine air inlet filter Part Number (P/N) BA-2410.
Note 1: Brackett air filters are an approved alternative to the original Cessna air filter. This Directive is only applicable to aircraft that have had the original Cessna air filter replaced by a Brackett air filter.
Requirement: Inspect the engine air filter element for correct installation. If the filter has only one grill screen, install an additional grill screen P/N 2404-00.
Note 2: The BA-2410 filter element was revised in 1993 to have a screen on both faces of the filter.

Compliance: Effective 15 May 2003; unless previously accomplished; at next access to the engine air filter or next scheduled aircraft periodic inspection, whichever occurs first.
