AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/CESSNA 650/6 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

MLG Side Brace Assembly 13/2002
Applicability: Cessna Model 650 aeroplanes serial number -0001 through -0241 inclusive, and serial number -7001 through -7112 inclusive.
Requirement: 1. Carry out a one time inspection of the left hand and right hand side brace mechanism assemblies to determine part number for each assembly installed in accordance with Cessna Service bulletin SB650-32-47, including Cessna Service Bulletin Supplemental Data SB650-32-47.
2. If correct part number side brace mechanism assemblies are found as listed in Cessna Service Bulletin SB650-32-47, including Cessna Service Bulletin Supplemental Data SB650-32-47, no further action is required.
3. Replace any side brace mechanism assemblies found not to have the correct part number, in accordance with Cessna Service Bulletin SB650-32-47, including Cessna Service Bulletin Supplemental Data SB650-32-47.

Compliance: 1. Unless previously accomplished; within six months after 31 October 2002.
2. Following inspection of the side brace assemblies.
3. Prior to further flight.
The compliance times of the original issue of this Directive remain unchanged by this issue.
This Amendment becomes effective on 26 December 2002.
Background: The manufacturer has advised that certain part number side brace assemblies could unlock leading to a failure of the undercarriage. This could result in a gear up landing.
Amendment 1 of this Airworthiness Directive is issued to correct a typographical error in the original issue.
