COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES Fuji FA-200 Series Aeroplanes AD/FA-200/23 Amdt 1 Control Column 1/90 Applicability: All models which have not been modified in accordance with Fuji Technical Bulletin 200-020, dated 30 May 1989. Requirement: Using an approved dye penetrant method, inspect the control column tube for cracking in the lock pin hole area. Compliance: Prior to further flight after 5 January 1987 and thereafter at each scheduled inspection for Maintenance Release issue. Background: The Authority has received a report of control column failure in flight. The tube fractured at the lock pin hole. Amendment 1 introduces a modification which constitutes terminating action for the inspection requirements.
