Eurocopter EC 135 Series Helicopters AD/EC 135/11 Emergency Flotation System 2/2006
Applicability: Model EC 135 helicopters, equipped with removable and/or fixed part of emergency flotation system version I. Requirement: Remove the removable part of emergency flotation system version I, and install removable parts of emergency flotation system version II. Install all components relevant for the emergency flotation system version II. Accomplish the above actions in accordance with Eurocopter Deutschland EC 135 Alert Service Bulletin No. EC135-32A-010 dated 13 September 2004.
Note: LBA AD D-2005-414 refers. Compliance: Within 4 weeks after 16 February 2006, unless already accomplished. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 16 February 2006. Background: It has been determined that the removable part of the ECD emergency flotation system version I no longer meets its requirements because of an increase in admissible maximum take-off weight of the Model EC 135 helicopters.
