1 Name This instrument is the Industry Research and Development (Cyber Security Small Business Program) Instrument 2017.

2 Commencement (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3 Authority This instrument is made under section 33 of the Industry Research and Development Act 1986.

4 Definitions Note: Entity is defined in the Act. In this instrument: Act means the Industry Research and Development Act 1986. CREST ANZ means CREST Australia New Zealand Ltd. Note: CREST is short for the Council of Registered Ethical Security Testers. small business means an entity that: (a) has an ABN, and is registered, within the meaning given by section 195‑1 of the A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999; and (b) employs less than 20 people.
