PART 2—AMENDMENT OF PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEES ACT 1995 2 Act amended in pt 2 This part amends the Parliamentary Committees Act 1995. 3. Amendment of s 4A (Membership of statutory committees) (1) Section 4A(1)— omit, insert— '(J A statutory committee must consist of 7 members nominated as follows— (a) 4 members nominated by the member who is recognised in the Legislative Assembly as the Leader of the House; (b) 3 members nominated by the member who is recognised in the Legislative Assembly as the Leader of the Opposition. '. Clause 6 Amendment of s 116 (Membership of parliamentary committee) (1) Section 116(1)— omit, insert— '(1) The parliamentary committee must consist of 7 members nominated as follows— (a) 4 members nominated by the member who is recognised in the Legislative Assembly as the Leader of the House; (b) 3 members nominated by the member who is recognised in the Legislative Assembly as the Leader of the Opposition.
