Short title
This Act may be cited as the Fluoridation of Public Water
Supplies Amendment Act 2005.
Act amended
This Act amends the Fluoridation of Public Water Supplies
Act 1963.

Section 4— insert—
To decide whether to add fluorine to any public water supply under its control, a local government may inform itself of the local community's views about adding fluorine to the water supply in any way it considers appropriate, including, for example—
(a) by considering its councillors' views about adding fluorine to the water supply; or
(b) by surveying persons who use water from the water supply; or
