Inland Fisheries (Protected Fish) Order 1996 I make the following order under section 131(1) of the Inland Fisheries Act 1995 . 23 May 1996 T. JOHN CLEARY Minister for Inland Fisheries 1. Short title This order may be cited as the Inland Fisheries (Protected Fish) Order 1996 . 2. Commencement This order takes effect on 31 May 1996. 3. Interpretation In this order – Act means the Inland Fisheries Act 1995 ; grayling means fish of the species Prototroctes maraena of the family Prototroctidae. 4. Protected fish Grayling is declared to be protected fish for the purposes of the Act. Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.
